On this usual Friday, everything was the same. I attended a safety course somewhere in town. It was probably just like other 1 day short course where attendance was the only thing concerned.
But what was so interesting that change my perception was the trainer's passion in his job. A slight bit about the course. It is a worker level course cater mainly for general worker to understand about safety. The purpose of the course was mainly to get the safety card after attending the course, cause without the card u can't enter aThe ny construction site. His passion shone in the way he presented his material. He was not from Singapore, during his class there were moments where his pronunciation sounds funny. He know it, and even took it in his stride and talk about it during the class. He recounted incidents where students laugh or were rude to him. Despite that he swallow it and carry on the class with the same passion. This is no diploma nor degree program or any professional certification like ACCA etc. Yet he teached it in the same professional manner. I am moved n motivated. Remind me of the saying
If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well
