10,000 hours and the Lakland 55-02

One of Malcolm Gladwell books the Outliers provides an interesting insight on accomplished people and very successful individuals. I myself have never read this book, but after searching on the net on the title. A lot of interesting reviews pop up. Seems like a great book to read, would be getting this book soon!

These reviews and Malcolm Gladwell Q/A on his book are a great read. A certain theme in his book was constantly brought up. The 10,000 hours rule, it wasn't really a new idea. It seems this 10,000 hours of practicing was required to reach a certain level of mastery. There are other very interesting concept that Gladwell brought up in his book. Can't comment that much as I haven't really read the book.

Anyway, I bought another bass!!! Its a Lakland 55-02 5 string and the feel is sweet. Its a 3 tone sunburst, maple fretboard. Most of my previous bass setup was fairly ok. But this 5 string got this great low action, active control with very interesting tone controls. Other then the standard onboard controls pots, you can further tweak the mid tones on the circuit board that is design to let you adjust the tone accordingly. No pictures taken. Will be uploading them once I get some good pics up.
